Who Do You Think You Are?

This intergenerational project took place for six months in Deptford in 2013. The participants engaged in drama, craft and singing workshops exploring the theme of community building and cultural diversity. The debates developed and the material created during the workshops became pieces gathered together in a poignant collaborative performance entitle “Who Do You Think You are?” which was performed at the Albany Theatre.

On stage, local people form all nationalities and ages question the struggles of settling into another country exploring concepts around identity, the challenging of accepting differences and how to overcome stereotypes and pre-conceptions. As the counteract, they propose the celebration of cultural diversity as the recipe for a richer, happier and stronger community.
