Brazil For ALL

Brazil For All was created to re-launch the Ingestre Community Centre which had been closed down for many years. The project targeted mainly the local elderly people and carers from the local area. Our project answered the local community by creating opportunities for integration and boosting community life through the arts. A series of weekly workshops explored Brazilian folklore as a way to bring older people, especially those suffering from dementia and loneliness, to interact not just among themselves but also with younger generations, breaking the cycle of loneliness and isolation as well as negative perceptions between the different generations. The project ended with a mini summer festival in which the local community gathered together at the Ingestre Community Centre to celebrate the achievements of the participants and the social ties that were created through the project.
