Crafting Community 2017

Crafting Communities 2017 was designed following the success of Crafting Communities 2016. The project aimed to engage the older local population in creative workshops alongside younger generations. Participants developed and strengthened relationships with people of different ages while also producing beautiful craft works. They were so proud of their work that they decided to take the streets of their local neighbourhood to produce an exciting and colourful carnival parade which became the centrepiece of the renowned Alma Street Festival.
